1976 McLaren M23D at 1:8 scale – as featured in RUSH

8.7

The epic 1976 season battle between Ferrari’s Niki Lauda and James Hunt of McLaren was one of the most intense championship struggles in Formula 1 history, now dramatically told in the soon to be released movie Rush. Set against a backdrop of turbulent F1 politics, and the powerful yet respectful team and personal rivalries, the championship victory was balanced on a knife-edge at the final race in Japan. Amalgam have modelled the 312T2 precisely as it was driven by Niki Lauda at the Japanese GP. The model is deeply detailed with lift-off panels showing the muscular architecture of this powerful and technically dominant car in every detail.

It is a precise Amalgam 1:8 scale replica of the Ferrari 312T2 driven by Niki Lauda at the Japanese GP, in a limited edition of just 199 pieces.

Creating an Amalgam model is a time-consuming process involving many skills and thousands of hours of detailed work. Development of the 312T2 model commenced in March 2013 and Amalgam have just finished the first finished model for presentation to Ferrari. A small batch of just 3 models will be available at the end of September, followed by another 5 models each month. Clearly, there will be a very high demand for these models, so if you wish to get an early delivery we are taking pre-orders now.
