In 2004, the Bahrain International Circuit held the first Formula One Grand Prix in the Middle East. Designed with spectators in mind, it can host 70,000 people in its hospitality suites, grandstands, spectator areas and the landmark VIP Sakhir Tower. With a lot of run-off area, there are plenty of overtaking opportunities for the drivers.
