86. Nicolas Todt

Nicolas Todt (born 17 November 1977 in Le Chesnay, Yvelines) is a French motorsport team owner. He is the son of former Ferrari Formula One team principal and former FIA president Jean Todt.

Todt is the manager of major racing drivers, including Daniil Kvyat, Felipe Massa, Pastor Maldonado, James Calado, Charles Leclerc, José María López, Caio Collet, Marcus Armstrong, Gabriele Minì, James Wharton, Martinius Stenshorne and Christian Ho. In 2003, Todt founded All Roads Management to scout, manage and develop talents able to reach the top in motorsport, from karting to F1, through the different single-seater formulas, GT, Endurance, and new categories such as Formula E. Until the end of 2018 he was the co-owner of the motorsport team ART Grand Prix.

Todt is very influential in Massa’s move from Sauber to Ferrari. There were rumours mid-2007 that Todt could take over the Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula One team, which Toro Rosso team owner Gerhard Berger dismissed.

He holds a Master’s degree in management from Toulouse Business School.

Our main aim is to bring drivers to Formula 1. However, motorsport has many categories, and some, like WEC, WTCC, DTM and Formula E, present excellent opportunities for professional racing drivers. We aim to maximise the opportunities for our drivers, whatever formula they race in. The role of a management company is to orient the driver. Ultimately, it is the driver’s choice of where he races, and our job is to provide the best possible advice so that their decision is as well-informed as possible.

Taking an unknown driver and making him a star means we made the right choices. It is gratifying to find a driver, spend years with him going through the highs and lows of a career, and one day see him make it to the podium’s top step in the ultimate form of motorsport. However, you can take nothing for granted in motorsports.
