As the Managing Director of Silverstone Circuits Ltd, Stuart Pringle stands at the forefront of Formula 1’s heritage and future. At 53, he holds the reins of one of the most iconic circuits on the F1 calendar—Silverstone, affectionately known as The Home of British Motor Racing. But Pringle’s vision goes beyond race weekends.

Since taking charge, Pringle has been driving Silverstone’s transformation into a year-round leisure and entertainment destination. While the British Grand Prix remains a jewel in Formula 1’s crown, Pringle is expanding the circuit’s role, from launching immersive motorsport experiences to hosting concerts, exhibitions, and heritage events. His goal? To ensure Silverstone thrives even as the sport evolves and new venues enter the scene.

With a career deeply rooted in motorsport, Pringle brings a wealth of experience to the table. Before becoming Managing Director, he served as Silverstone’s Sporting Director and previously worked at Brands Hatch as a Motorsport Events Manager. He also spent eight years as Club Secretary of the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC), the very organisation that owns Silverstone. Add to that his time organising classic racing events for the Vintage Sports-Car Club, and it’s clear Pringle is as passionate about motorsport’s past as he is committed to its future.

Interestingly, Pringle’s journey began not on the racetrack, but in the military—as an officer in the Royal Tank Regiment—before earning a degree in Real Estate Valuation. This unique blend of discipline, leadership, and strategic thinking has helped him navigate Silverstone through challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and growing competition from newer F1 circuits.

As Formula 1 continues its global expansion—from Las Vegas to Saudi Arabia—Silverstone’s place on the calendar isn’t guaranteed forever. But with Stuart Pringle at the helm, the historic circuit remains relevant and essential. By blending tradition with innovation, he’s ensuring Silverstone remains a must-visit destination, not just for Formula 1 fans, but for anyone seeking a world-class motorsport experience in the heart of England.
