The regular Formula One season is held on several race tracks in different parts of the world. These race tracks are usually of varying lengths and specifications. Many strict safety precautions are usually mandated for Formula One racers and their teams. These precautions do not totally eliminate the possibility of dangers, but they help limit their occurrence.

A successful Formula One racer must be able to successfully race and finish all of the most dangerous F1 tracks described in this article. These tracks are risky, but the best racers are usually motivated by significant risks.

2022 Formula One – The Season So Far

The 2022 Formula One season is at its midpoint. 22 rounds were lined up for the season, with two preceding testing rounds held in Spain and Bahrain. 13 race rounds have been completed already, and there are 9 more races to go for the season.

So far, the experiences at the already concluded race rounds have yet again raised several clouds of dust about safety.

Several accidents and dangerous situations were experienced during some of these races. This did not entirely happen due to the driver’s fault, but because of some dangerous features on some race tracks.

7 Most Dangerous Tracks Of The 2022 F1 Season

  • Jeddah Corniche Circuit, Saudi Arabia

As one of the new F1 racing circuits, Jeddah Corniche Circuit cannot tick off some important safety concerns. Undoubtedly, it is a new circuit, but the possibilities of crashes are high because of the varying speeds at different points on the circuit.

Drivers are not entirely familiar with its many winding corners.

  • Hungaroring, Budapest

The 4.831-kilometre race track is one of the old-time race tracks, but the chances of overtaking by drivers are limited because of the tortuous layout of the racetrack.

Hungaroring is one of the most challenging race tracks in the 2022 F1 season. Still, the challenge was greater this season because the race was held on a day with unfavourable weather conditions.

  • Albert Park, Melbourne, Australia

The third round of the 2022 F1 season was held at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit on Sunday, April 10. The 5.278-kilometre circuit needs some urgent redesign. Although modifications have been made to the race track recently, it is most dangerous for racing because of public roads.

  • Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi

Yas Marina will host the curtain closing race for the 2022 F1 season. Still, the dangerous condition of this race track could pose a tough season finish for drivers.

The competition heading to the season’s final race will be very high. Drivers and their teams will only hope that some of the changes that have been done to the track will make racing easier.

  • Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain

The 4.675-kilometre circuit hosted the first testing series for the season. This again highlighted some of its dangerous features ahead of the Round 6 race of the 2022 F1 season. Verstappen won the race, but the uneven width of several parts of the racetrack was the biggest challenge for drivers.

  • Circuit Paul Ricard Le Castellet, France

France hosts some of the most popular F1 races, but Le Castellet does not seem to be one of the best race tracks for F1 drivers.

Circuit Paul has great potential, but the track needs to be reconfigured to deliver the best F1 races.

  • Marina Bay Street Circuit, Singapore

Singapore is set to host Round 17 of this year’s F1 races, but the track’s layout betrays its aesthetic appeal. The conditions for the race are also very challenging, and racing in Singapore may be a big turning point for most drivers as the season draws to a close.

Conclusion

As the Formula One season is set to resume from its mid-season break at Spa Francorchamps for the Belgian Grand Prix, more discussions and measures to limit the occurrence of dangers have been discussed. They will be implemented for the concluding races. As F1 drivers prepare to finish this season on a high note, they must also consider the dangerous conditions of some of these tracks.
