With a decade’s worth of experience in the Formula 1 world, the former accountant with BAT, Gary Carey, heads up the Global Sponsorship of the Johnnie Walker Brand for Diageo. Existing since 2005, Johnnie Walker’s corporate partnership with McLaren has been a platform to promote responsible drinking in the automotive market. Carey’s work in the field of motorsport sponsorship however, is hugely varied, with a six-year tenure as Head of Sponsorship with British American Tobacco, during which he was part of the core team that developed BAR F1.
