By Elina T Htun | The floating sculptures – Zeelander yachts – are “pieces of art on water, created for connoisseurs of life” by its creator Sietse Koopmans, Founder & CEO of Zeelander Yachts, based on his many years of engineering experience. Since 2002, he and his team developed and brought to the international market a prestigious line of Zeelander yachts that today are taking the luxury yachting industry by storm, gaining a front line place in Monaco during the Formula 1 race.

Zeelander Yachts was established in the Netherlands in 2002, specializing in the production of high-end motor yachts that blend form and function in order to achieve efficient performance using the highest possible standards. The Z44 is an instantly recognisable lobster-style cruiser with a modern twist and powerful motor, capable of panoramic views, boasting a spacious interior with one or two cabins. Whereas the Z55 is the ideal step-up from the 44-feet model, offering an even roomier cockpit and three cabins. Two years ago, the company has opened a new state-of-art yard in Groot-Ammers.
Proudly, the Zeelander name became a luxury motor yacht brand and a desirable item for collectors of specific rare cars and yachts, as well as individuals in search of the exciting things in life.

In partnership with Amber Lounge, Sietse Koopmans and his son Floris Koopmans (both in the photo above) of Zeelander Yachts joined Monaco’s many respected hosts and local organisers in offering a floating spot to see the race during the day, to meet some of the Formula 1 drivers like Marcus Ericsson, Charles Leclerc, and Carlos Sainz Jr. During the night, it becomes a “hot” place to be for various parties. Parked in front of the well-known Amber Lounge of Monaco, undoubtedly, the Zeelander yacht with its super luxury sculptured lines will continue to bring memorable experiences for guests every May during the Monaco Grand Prix.
Hitting several milestones, in 2018 Zeelander Yachts constructed its largest yacht to date – the Z72, which offers superyacht level comfort with smart use of space and 40 knots max speed using a powerful triple Volvo IPS propulsion totalling 3000 hp.
Asking about Monaco, Mr Sietse Koopmans noted: “Monaco is not only the most respected place on the calendar for the principality’s street circuit and the traditions of racing, but it’s a tremendous stopover for yachts’ collectors and admirers. The Monaco Grand Prix weekend is the perfect international stage to display our product, and it’s the ideal spot to market to those that “live life well” – to discover and meet the “who’s who” in business, celebrities, drivers, and team personnel.”
