One of their most recent projects was the grandstand and facilities at the Circuit of the Americas, a Formula 1 racetrack in Austin, Texas. He is licensed in Spain, Texas, New York, and Utah. As an active member of the American Institute of Architects, he has served as a juror for AIA award competitions at national, state, and local levels. We are thrilled that Juan gave us his own fantasy Formula 1 set.

The driver:

Ayrton Senna, still the most exciting driver I have ever seen. I simply wish that we could resurrect him, really.

The designer:

A great car with bold forms and sublime performance would be a result of a collaboration between architect Zaha Hadid and inventor James Dyson. I am sure both would love the design challenge, but not so sure about whether they would be able to find common ground.

The Team Principal:

Definitely Gregg Popovich, current coach of the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA. A true team builder, he knows how to manage egos, gets the best out of people and just really knows how to win.

The team owner:

No team owners! I would love to see the model of Spanish soccer giants Real Madrid and Barcelona in Formula 1. They are both clubs and they are run by the club members. The presidents are elected in contested elections and they are dismissed if they don’t deliver to what they’ve promised.

The car:

The McLaren F1. My dear friend and car enthusiast Clive Joy has one and the car has the best plate possible: F1 JOY.
