A new platform for football fans by Fantastec

Fantastec has launched a new platform for fans of the English Premier League. Fantastec GAME (www.fantastec.game) has been live since the start of the 2018/19 season and is now inviting football fans from all over the world to co-develop it. The company’s Managing Partner is Steve Madincea, a good friend of the Paddock magazine, and a recognised international sports industry entrepreneur as well as an expert on the business side of Formula 1.

Fantastec GAME delivers everything fans need to know about the Premier League matches that matter to them: the latest matchday news, insight-driven editorial features, live stats, live commentary, press conferences, debates, matchday previews, videos and photos, quizzes and more.

The new platform is aiming to become the one platform that truly puts the fans first. As well as being totally free, Fantastec GAME has zero advertising and no betting, meaning fans get a deeper and richer experience of the Premier League without interruption.

Of the opportunity, Steve Madincea said: “We know how important matchday is for fans, yet there are people in all corners of the world who sadly aren’t getting the experience they deserve.” He added, “as sports fans ourselves we share their frustrations with the many digital products out there that are poorly designed and supplemented by ill-timed or irrelevant ads and betting odds that hinder the matchday experience. With GAME, we’re excited to introduce and develop a compelling product that will continuously challenge that – built by and for the fans.”

We’ve already seen visitors from over 130 countries and are excited about building a global community ahead of full launch in 2019.

Fantastec GAME features bespoke editorial for every team in the Premier League, with a clear cadence throughout the week that builds towards the all-important focus on matchday itself and the excitement of the live experience. The editorial is purposely written in plain and simple English to cater for fans where English is not their first language, while partnerships with Getty Images and Opta ensure high-quality media and the most accurate live data. Notable for its clean and eye-catching design, Fantastec GAME has also been built as an isomorphic web application, delivering a super-fast browsing experience at all times, particularly with mobile users in mind.

“During this important discovery phase, we’re iterating the GAME product each week, adding new features and functionality,” continued Madincea. “Testing it in a live environment is invaluable as we get to better understand how and when fans want to consume their football content. We’ve already seen visitors from over 130 countries and are excited about building a global community ahead of a full launch in 2019”.

Over the coming months, the Fantastec GAME team will be entirely focused on gathering fan feedback to shape the product into a class-leading football platform that fans love. Fans should visit www.fantastec.game. To take part in fan focus groups, submit a query or to leave any comments or feedback, email game.support@fantastec.io.
