Sheikh Salman Bin Isa Al Khalifa graduated in Applied Management at the National American University in Denver Colorado. Served the Civil Service Bureau and Government Organisation of Youth and Sports (GOYS). In 2004, Shaikh Salman took his first official role at BIC as Head of Governmental Affairs. As Director of PR and Governmental Affairs, he took an active role in how the circuit fulfilled its role within Bahrain’s community, as well as maximising the positive impressions of Bahrain for the many visiting international guests and media each year.

Prior to his role at BIC, Sheikh Salman worked for Bahrain’s General Organisation for Youth and Sport and was also Vice President of The Bahrain Motor Federation. He sits on several sporting advisory boards and was previously a member of the FIA Single Seater Commission and the F1 Commission.

The vision of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, to build the first Grand Prix circuit in the Middle East here in the Kingdom of Bahrain was inspired and has brought recognition from around the World.

BIC remains at the forefront of global motorsport while at the same time generates a platform on which companies and individuals can benefit from the diverse range of corporate, cultural and social activities that are on offer.

As the “Home of Motorsport in the Middle East,” the BIC has an important and dominant role to play in the development of the sport throughout the region. The Bahrain Grand Prix is the jewel in our crown and is the focal point of our year. However, the circuit is a dynamic facility that is seen throughout the World as the benchmark for other circuits and sporting venues.
