Formula 1 2018 kicked into action last week with the first four days of official testing at the Circuit de Catalunya, home of the Spanish Grand Prix. The weather did its best to spoil the teams’ efforts to put mileage on their new-for-2018 challengers, but all of them at least got some vital initial running.
Please take a look at our video presentation:
Phil Woods, former editor and Formula 1 writer for Pit Lane Reporter magazine and Podium magazine, has joined the Paddock crew and will be writing the mentioned season preview. Phil has extensive writing experience in motorsport, specialising in Formula 1.
I tend to write from the heart, letting it all spill out onto the paper. I’m never scared of speaking my mind and writing what I really think.
Phil has also had three books published. His first book Beat About the Bush – The Funny Side of Language was an Amazon No. 1.
Having been away from motorsport since 2014, he returns in 2018 to continue the work in high-end racing, a field he’s so passionate about.
The Season Preview edition will also feature interviews with drivers, team principals, sponsors, insights from motorsport business experts and a lifestyle section that’s all about Formula 1-related products.
Grid girls are no more after organisers deemed the practice of scantily clad models performing various pointless roles around the racetrack was outdated. Instead, we’ll see competition-winning ‘grid kids’ out on the track before races holding the driver numbers.
