Born in Milan, Italy, in 1967, Luca de Meo is a name synonymous with innovation, bold leadership, and high-performance strategy in the global automotive industry. A graduate in business administration from the prestigious Luigi Bocconi Commercial University, de Meo’s career has been defined by an impressive trajectory through some of the world’s most iconic car brands.
He began his journey at Renault, laying the foundation for what would become a remarkable career. He then moved through Toyota Europe and the Fiat Group, where he revitalized the image and sales of heritage brands such as Lancia, Fiat, and Alfa Romeo—bringing an Italian flair and passion that echoed the spirit of motorsports.
In 2009, de Meo joined the Volkswagen Group, where he served as Marketing Director and later became a member of the Board of AUDI AG, responsible for Global Sales and Marketing. His leadership continued to accelerate when he was appointed Chairman of SEAT in 2015. Under his guidance, SEAT not only found renewed commercial success but also embraced innovation in design and electric mobility. During this time, he also contributed to the boards of Ducati, Lamborghini, and Volkswagen Group Italy—brands with deep motorsport DNA.

In 2021, he further extended his leadership scope by joining the Board of Directors of TIM, Italy’s largest telecommunications company.
