Bryan Lourd isn’t just a major player in Hollywood — he’s the man behind many of the biggest names in the entertainment world. As a Partner and Managing Director of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Lourd has helped shape the careers of iconic actors, directors, and producers.
Based in Los Angeles, CAA operates globally, with offices in New York, London, Nashville, and Beijing. The agency is a powerhouse across film, television, music, sports, theatre, and digital media, including esports and video games, and offers strategic marketing services to top corporate clients.
A native of New Iberia, Louisiana, Lourd’s path to the top began humbly. He started as a page at CBS Studios and later entered the legendary mailroom program at the William Morris Agency in 1983. By 1988, he had joined CAA, and just seven years later, in 1995, he and his partners took ownership of the agency — a bold move that cemented his influence in the industry.
Beyond Hollywood, Lourd’s leadership extends into arts and philanthropy. He sits on the board of InterActiveCorp (IAC) and the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities (PCAH). He also contributes to the boards of the Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the J/P Haitian Relief Organisation, and the American Film Institute (AFI).
A University of Southern California graduate with degrees in Journalism and International Relations, Lourd combines media savvy with global insight — qualities that resonate far beyond Hollywood.
Hollywood Meets the Pit Lane
As Formula 1’s popularity surges, so does Hollywood’s interest. With Netflix’s Drive to Survive reshaping public perception of the sport, it’s no surprise that figures like Bryan Lourd are taking notice. CAA’s foray into sports marketing aligns perfectly with F1’s growing global audience and entertainment crossover. Imagine the strategic potential: a client list full of global stars, partnered with a sport that thrives on drama, precision, and high performance.
In many ways, Lourd is the perfect bridge between the red carpet and the checkered flag, where storytelling meets speed.
