It’s been a while coming as the Russian billionaire was known to have been interested in F1 for a while (his superyacht was a regular fixture outside Monaco’s harbour – it was too big to enter it – during the 2000s), Abramovich has now entered into a partnership with the Sauber F1 Team through his football club.

According to Forbes, Abramovich’s net worth in 2015 was US$ 9.1 billion. This makes him the 12th richest person in Russia and the 137th richest person in the world.
